Acceptance and eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Application. If you are under that age, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf where required by law.

You represent that you are legally permitted to use the Application in your jurisdiction.

The Application does not require registration or an account. Normal use of the Application does not involve creating a user profile with the Service Provider.

License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, the Service Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Application on a mobile device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, distribute, sell, or sublicense the Application; modify or create derivative works from it; reverse engineer it except as permitted by law; remove proprietary notices; or use it unlawfully.

Purchases and refunds

Dated Pages is a paid application. The price is displayed on Google Play (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS) at the time of purchase.

Payment is processed entirely by Google or Apple. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details or billing information.

Refunds are handled according to the policies of the store through which you purchased the Application. For Google Play purchases, refund eligibility is governed by Google Play’s refund rules. For billing questions, contact the store first; you may also contact the Service Provider at hello@datedpages.com.

Unless clearly stated on the store listing, the Application does not include in-app purchases or subscriptions.

Literary content

The Application displays curated literary passages tied to calendar dates or days of the week. Many passages are drawn from classic literature. The Service Provider does not claim ownership of underlying literary works by third-party authors.

Content is provided for reading and cultural enjoyment. It is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

The Service Provider does not guarantee that every date attribution, quotation, or contextual note is complete or error-free. Content may be added, updated, removed, or rotated over time without notice.

Intellectual property

The Service Provider retains all intellectual property rights in the Application, including its software, design, selection and arrangement of content, trademarks, and branding.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Service Provider’s trademarks, logos, or branding except as necessary to use the Application as intended.

Suggestions and external links

The Application may open external websites, including a form for submitting literary entry suggestions. Those sites are operated by third parties.

If you voluntarily submit a suggestion, you grant the Service Provider a non-exclusive license to use it to improve or expand the calendar. You represent that your submission does not violate third-party rights.

Processing of personal data you voluntarily provide is described in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to interfere with the Application or its infrastructure, scrape or bulk-download content, misrepresent your affiliation with the Service Provider, or use the Application unlawfully.

Internet connection and device

Some features require an active internet connection. You are responsible for data and roaming charges from your mobile provider and for maintaining your device.

The Service Provider advises against jailbreaking or rooting your device, which may compromise security or cause the Application to malfunction.

Updates and availability

The Service Provider may release updates and may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or its content. Continued use may require updating through the store.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Application and its content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. The Service Provider remains liable for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Application through the applicable store in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum required by applicable law if greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify the Service Provider against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Application, except where claims arise from the Service Provider’s negligence or violation of law.

Termination

If you violate these Terms, your license ends and you must stop using and delete the Application. The Service Provider may stop supporting older versions; updates may be required through the store.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your residence apply otherwise.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider.

Changes to these Terms

The Service Provider may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted with a new effective date. Previous versions may be requested at hello@datedpages.com.

These Terms and Conditions are effective as of 2026-06-25.
